Terms and conditions:

1. …. (“The Client”) of ………………………… agrees with McDonough Employment Law Ltd t/a McDonough & Associates of Saunders House, 52-53 The Mall, London W5 3TA as follows:

2. The Client will remit a fee to McDonough & Associates for representation on all matters of employment law, including any claim to the Employment Tribunal, by payment of % of any sums obtained in compensation via negotiation or awarded by an Employment Tribunal, VAT at the rate of 20% will be payable on the said fee but not the whole of the sum obtained in compensation or awarded by the Employment Tribunal.

3. McDonough & Associates undertake to represent The Client, including all hearings necessary for the disposal of the matter before the Employment Tribunal free of charge, save for the contingency cited above. However, The Client will be responsible for payment for any medical reports/opinions which are necessary in pursuance of the claim.

4. McDonough & Associates undertakes to defend any appeal made by the respondent to the Employment Appeal Tribunal against a successful claim before the Employment Tribunal free of charge, save for the contingency fee cited above. However, should the claim fail and the The Client wishes to instruct McDonough & Associates to represent in an appeal to the Employment Appeal Tribunal then this will incur professional fees, payable in advance.

5.The Client undertakes that he/she will provide his/her authority for any payment made as a result of a negotiated settlement or any award made by an Employment Tribunal to be made payable to “McDonough & Associates – Client Account” . McDonough & Associates will remit the balance of the settlement/award to The Client after deduction of the fee, as per this agreement.

6. The Client is free to withdraw from this agreement at any time but agrees to pay all legal costs for all work up to the date of withdrawal at the rate of £175 per hour plus VAT.

There is a 14 day cooling off period when the client can withdraw from this agreement.
